Kearny Kapitalists 1914 T-Shirt Color_Vintage White along with an annual semi-proHistory: The Kapitalists played in the Class D Nebraska State League from 1910 to 1914, winning the loop's title in 1913 behind the hitting of Homer Gray, who batted . 411 for Kearney. I n 1915 the NSL, along with many other minor leagues, folded due to player depletions caused by the emergence of the Federal League, and later by World War I. The Kapitalists were sadly, never to return, although the Yankees operated a team in Kearney in the late 1950s.
