Las Gundiñas was planted in 1910 on clay intermixed with some limestone (uncommon in Valtuille) • Mostly Mencía with some Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet)

with subtle flint notes

Farming: Certified Organic (co-farmed by Larry Makjavich and myself starting in January 2019)

and no sulfur additions or filtration

2025 Romain Le Bars Nouveau Nez VDF, Tavel, France Castell'in Villa Las Gundiñas was planted inRomain Le Bars is a young winegrower from the Pfifferling school, where he worked for many years. Installed on a micro domain of barely more than one hectare, he works as naturally as possible. No input to the cellar either. Nouveau Nez is a great wine, bottled early, from Cinsault and Grenache, vinified in carbo in barrels and vats.
