Helleborus nigercors Honeyhill Joy Himalayan Mountains coming into growth and bloomFrom Audrey and Jim Metcalfe of Oregon's Honeyhill Farms comes a new selection of H. x nigercors (H. niger x argutifolius). This sterile hybrid produces very glossy leaves that resemble H. niger. The vigorous and easy to grow, 2' wide clump is topped in late winter with 12" stalks of outfacing creamy white flowers. It's only thanks to the persistence of the tissue culture labs that these are available at all.
