2018 Royal Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos, Tokaj, Hungary 500ml Matassa taking in the moderating andFrom Royal Tokajis volcanic strongholds in Md and Tarcal, the 2018 was a warmer, generous vintage that still delivered excellent botrytis thanks to late season humidity. Furmint and Hrslevel Asz berries were macerated into a concentrated base wine and aged in Hungarian oak, giving a profile that balances richness with drive: ripe apricot and quince paste, candied citrus, ginger, and a gentle smokyvolcanic edge from rhyolite soils.
