Gyokuro / Jade Dew - Asanoka (org) Japan The fertile volcanic soil providesJapanese green tea from Hioki, Kagoshima (Kyushu). Dark green leaves steep into a cloudy, chartreuse cup with a smooth, full body. Shade grown in the Gyokuro style using the Asanoka cultivar, it delivers rich umami with fresh grass and vegetal notes, finishing lightly floral with a subtle white pepper coolness. Gyokuro is a style of Japanese green tea created by shading the growing tea leaves a few weeks before harvest to filter out 90% of sunlight.
