Pertimali sits high and cool on limestone rich soil, which is why this Brunello has a freshness and precision that a lot of Montalcino, chasing power, has lost. The Sassettis are unrepentant traditionalists: three years in big Slavonian casks, no shortcuts. Lorenzo Sassetti runs the estate
