2023 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Le Pave Loire, France Eraldo Viberti Vineyard: 60+-year-old plot on limestoneThis is a single parcel Sauvignon Blanc from an east facing, five acre vineyard planted in 1990 on Cretaceous marl (limestoneclay, marne de crtace) rich in seashell fossils. The domaine is certified biodynamic (Biodyvin) and farms organically; fruit is harvested by hand, fermented with native yeasts in large upright wooden tanks, then aged for one year in the same vessels and bottled without filtration.
