the finest of Spring mornings
Broad and rich but also magically airy in the mouth
The wine has a beautiful entry to the palate
the 2014 Proprietary Red needs a little coaxing to reveal slowly unfurling notions of warm black cherries
Joseph Drouhin, Chambertin Clos De Beze Vintage:2011 the finest of Spring mornings(50% whole clusters). An attractively spicy and notably ripe if markedly reserved nose offers up notes of plum, cassis and red currant that are copiously laced with floral nuances. The rich, full bodied and quite serious broad shouldered flavors also possess first rate mid palate concentration along with evident minerality on the driving and powerful if less refined finish. This is certainly impressive but the Griotte has that something extra in 2015.
