Pulpit, Siena Cathedral, Italy Finish:Rolled Anglo-Saxon warriorsPulpit, Siena Cathedral, Italy, late 19th or early 20th century. The pulpit of the cathedral dates from 1265 1268. Elaborately carved from Carrara marble, it is regarded as the masterpiece of the Tuscan sculptor Nicola Pisano. It is decorated with scenes relating to Salvation and the Last Judgment.
