C. 1930s-40s Dustpan + Nails Make Do Cranberry Rake, Found in Maine embroidery that she is Native AmericanFound in Maine, as might be expected, this is an old "make do" cranberry rake, fashioned of a metal dustpan and two rows of nails, c. 1930s. I really love the horizontal line of nail heads along the front edge, and of course their spikes coming up! The second row of nails spikes comes up from the bottom on the interior. A rake like this (though this is very much one of a kind!) would be used for combing cranberries from vines to harvest. 8 5 8" w x
