Tall, Spare Antique Santos Figure in Otherworldly Blue native basket as documented-- not visible whenI purchased this antique Santos from a dealer in my neck of the woods, who had it in his hands for a few decades. That otherworldly soft blue makes me swoon, all the better for being unfettered by any detail a perfect purity of color and form. Once he certainly had cloth arms, but I think their absence just heightens his elegant spareness and the impact of his nearly 15 inches in height. The head appears to be made of clay, perhaps sculpted over wood,
