Nice Old Portable Lap Desk / Writing Box maine native basket ) on the bottom: SundayI find these old lap desks such satisfying things, with compartments underneath the velvet covered writing slope in which one might keep writing paper as well as tuck a stack of correspondence received, and then a few pens under the lid with handle at one end all ready to take anywhere. Makes me want to write old fashioned letters. Or maybe just to throw all of ones bills inside! This one no longer locks, so maybe best not to keep secret love letters
