Battle of Quatre Bras Mary of Teck Cortes succeeded in overthrowing the'Battle of Quatre Bras, June 16th 1815'. Quatre Bras was a preliminary engagement to the Battle of Waterloo, fought two days before the main battle. The Anglo Dutch army of the Wellington fought against the left wing of the French Armee du Nord under Marshal Ney at Quatre Bras, a strategically important crossroads.
