Male dress Size:S: 45 x 30cm third daughter of Oliver CromwellMale dress, 16th century, (1910). Continental costumes from the time of Elizabeth I, (1558 1603). The breeches had become enormously distended or bombasted. They reached to the knees where canions (rolls or extended cuffs) were attached round the legs above the calf, or to mid thigh.
