red and black dividing the face into three parts and then banded on the horns could not have been better

Lovely Bunch of c. 1870s Slate Pencils with Gold Paper Wraps motel pool Really one of my favoriteA beautiful set of antique slate pencils, just waiting for one of those antique slates I am so fond of (none in the shop just now, but I'll find one soon!) I do like just looking at these a bundle of possibilities; words and numbers yet to be written. I come across these now and then but I've never seen ones wrapped in gold, which makes them extra lovely and special feeling. c. 1870s. Approx 6 7 16" long. Sold as a set. In excellent condition.
