Not compact it's 70cm collapsed, and weighs about 1. 2kg but it's sturdy as you'd need, with a payload of 11kg. Even better: you can unscrew the foot to reveal a three legged support that lets the monopod stand on its own. This is not a tripod per se, and you don't want to leave it unattended, but it can provide much needed stability with heavier loads. In excellent condition,
