with a pretty full lot of crayons inside and a paper insert listing the colors in German

It is signed on the bottom with what looks to read Salley or Selley

and lots of imperfections original to it

Betty's Checkerboard Cat on Wood Panel grass These two women look likeI really wish I had other works by the Betty Groose (or similar), who made this in Miss Adams' classroom, grade school I would guess. It's almost as if she was anticipating the digital age, dividing the cat into pixels, though seems more likely she might first have taken a stab at it using graph paper, and then recreated it free hand much better with the squares getting a little wonky here and there.
