I'd guess made of cigar box wood or similarly salvaged bits
and there is something about the velvet that lends a different sort of depth and gravitas and a sort of moodiness
Each measures approx 2 1/2" t x 1 3/4" w x 1/8" thick
with no major dings and the plug in the bottom fitting tight but easily removed
Penn's Spells Quality, c. 1920s Penn's Tobacco Tin with Good Graphics victorian apothecary I'd guess made of cigarNot an especially rare one, a c. 1920s Penn tobacco tin, but I really love the graphics on the lid, and the punning use of a pen nib as means of (calligraphically) spelling quality. Making it a good tin for holding a stash of pens or pencils, I'd say. 6 1 2" x 6 3 8" x 2 3 8". General wear and light rusting all over, just right to me.
