I might be as inclined to lay it on a tabletop with a piece of glass over it as to hang it on the wall

Truly a wonderful thing to live with

I think it makes for quite a satisfying tabletop object just on its own--the wood is beautiful and the elongated egg form really elegant--though it would be fun to see it put to use as the topper for a whole new construction

The specimens were adhered to ruled paper, then mounted in a grid to a backing sheet quite long ago I believe (my guess is their presentation here is how they were
