H.R, Gorgeous Early 19th Century Hand-carved Wooden Monogram Stamp J.I austen postcard each inch full of painstakingWow, I find this so beautiful I'm almost inclined to change my name so as to have it as my monogram, or to take a human resources job though I think the raised position of the period between the H and R somewhat somewhat evokes the absence of an E to make it "her." No later than early 19th century I believe, hand carved of what I think may be walnut though I'm no good at identifying woods, and found in southern Maine. A rare and very lovely thing. 4 7
