The Old Whip giraffe Chapel of the Blessed Virgin'The Old Whip', 1872. The Speaker of the House of Commons, Mr Denison, is seen on the occasion of his retirement. Newly created Viscount Ossington, he wears ermine and is depicted placing a crown atop his wig.
