I found this charming little wooden Japanese Kokeshi-type boy on turtle in a box of odds and ends at the estate sale of a man who had served in Japan during WWII and brought a lot back with him

but I think this just adds to its aura

they can be worn as simple silver diamond shapes

It is marked on the bottom 493 10, referring to the shape (493) and heigh of the vase (10 cm). The interior and bottom are glazed a smooth, rich brown. In perfect vintage condition, this jug would make a great vase, and a wonderful addition to a West German Pottery
