Hand thrown then trimmed and I believe salt fired, the stoneware vessel itself feels Japanese, but then this giraffe, pig, bird, and I'm not sure what (!) turn it into something else entirely! I've just learned this piece is a quintessential example of the recent work of Bowdoinham, Maine based ceramicist
