but I think it makes it even more of a special thing and great addition to a collection of beautiful brushes

perhaps next to the matte green of arts and crafts pottery

Ernest Trova "Trovascope" for MOMA, 1974 antique fan which makes me think ofI found one of these several months ago, and will buy others if I find them as I think they're excellent. It is a "Trovascope" designed by artist Ernest Trova (1927 2009) for the Museum of Modern Art in 1974. I think more artists should design kaleidoscopes, but Trova was especially well suited to creating a very graphically satisfying one, with his "falling man" silhouettes lending themselves to all sorts of interesting kaleidoscopic permutations!
