Syria, Republic. An Order Of Civil Merit, Iv Class, C.1930 Newly Listed East HamiltonInstituted in 1926. Type I with Six Arrows (1926 1953). In silver gilt with green and white enamels, maker marked "ARTHUS BERTRAND" and marked "DPOS" (Deposit) on the reverse, measuring 39. 5 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Syrian government established this Order, to recognize acts of courage and commitment. Its design was changed in 1927 to a six pointed star
