Constructed of a black cotton base, the obverse bearing a white embroidered inscription of LANDDIENST DER HJ (LAND SERVICE OF THE HJ) in Fraktur script, unmarked, measuring 3 cm (w) x 41 cm (l), in extremely fine condition. Footnote: Established in May 1934, the Landdienst (Land Service) was created with a mandate to slow the movement of German youths from rural areas to cities. Conversely, seeking to reverse this trend, the ultimate
