It is dated to Cologne on September 15, 1890. Footnote: David Wilhelm Kessler was born on February 9, 1869 in Marburg (central Germany). He learned to become a pastry chef, but then volunteered to join the army for one year on October 1, 1888. He was deployed into the 3rd Company of Hessian Jger Battalion No. 11, yet was discharged early on February 14,
