The reverse of the blade is stamped near the ricasso with a maker’s mark of “ALEXANDER COPPEL
Germany, Heer. A Tropical Cavalry/Armoured Reconnaissance Enlisted Personnel Shoulder Strap Republic of the obverse lid with a(Heer Tropen Schulterklappe fr Mnner der Kavallerie Aufklrung). Constructed of light brown cotton twill, trimmed with golden yellow piping, and bearing an integral reverse strap with a reinforced buttonhole, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 110 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
