Germany, Imperial. A 1916 POW Trench Art Desk Ornament Newly Listed This is a very nice(Grabenkunst Schreibtischdekoration). An unusual trench art desk ornament, constructed of multiple pieces of wood with multi coloured lacquered paint, consisting of a multi step base, with one level circumscribed by dates 1916, in turn topped by oval mirrors and stylized acorns, culminating in a pedestal upon which is perched a crude hand carved German national eagle with wire feet, unmarked, measuring 38 cm (h), each segment has loosened and the
