A National Order Of The Condor Of The Andes, I Class Grand Cross Star consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac bearing a central machine-embroidered silver(Condecoracin Nacional de la Orden del Cndor de Los Andes). Instituted in 1925. Three piece construction, in silver gilt with blue, red, white and green enamels, hand painted image on the white enamelled centrepiece, maker marked "la royale RIO BRASIL" on the reverse, measuring 72. 5 mm (w) x 72. 5 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.
