Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a crimped hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 48. 11 mm (w) x 47. 84 mm (h), weighing 16. 7 grams, retaining an original wax paper liner,
