The eldest son of Queen Victoria and Albert, Prince Consort, Edward VII (Albert Edward, 1841 1910) became King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, King of the Commonwealth Realms, and the Emperor of India when his mother died in 1901. He reigned until his death on 6 May 1910.
