Germany, Imperial. A Warrior Merit Medal For Non-Combatants, C.1900 Newly Listed marked with the Canadian coat-of-arms(Krieger Verdienstmedaille fr Nichtkmpfer). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1873 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 24. 98 mm in diameter, weighing 8. 8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine
