An Order Of The Romanian Crown, Grand Officer’s Star consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac smaller patch constructed of multi-coloured(Coroana Romniei). Instituted by King Carol I, on May 10 1881. Type I (1881 1941). Civil Division. A lovely star, in silver, an eight point star with clusters of silver rays, the obverse medallion features a crown on a red enamelled field, surrounded by a white ring inscribed PRIN NOI INSINE 14 MARTIE 1881, marked on 6 oclock ray with a Romanian silver mark denoting 800 fineness, reverse features a vertical pin assembly, central cartouche identified
