Construced of a black lacquered wooden base, the obverse bearing a raised and silvered non magnetic metal Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, situated above a silvered metal plaque bearing an engraved inscription of 3. PR. FNFKAMPF (3RD PRIZE PENTATHLON), the reverse with a single visible depressed rivet securing the obverse applique in place, topped by a magnetic metal suspension ring, unmarked,
