Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II (IV Class instituted 18 January 1830 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III). (1861 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand painted Hohenzollern style imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a
