Germany, SS. A Long Service Award, III Class for 8 Years, Type II Republic of circumscribed “Fürchte Gott und Befolge(SS Dienstauszeichnung III. Stufe fr 8 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938 1945 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised swastika, overlaid by Sig runes which are in turn surrounded by a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a raised number 8, overlaid by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS),
