Persia, Pahlavi Dynasty. An Order of the Lion and Sun, II Class Star Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic and in 1941Instituted in 1808. In silver and enamels, a five pointed rayed silver star, clusters of seven faceted rays, separated by a green enamelled ray, the obverse centerpiece bearing a hand painted couchant lion and a radiant sun with a yellow enamelled background, the reverse offers a vertical pin with dual stays, unmarked, measures 81. 8 mm (h) x 79. 9 mm (w), weighs 51. 83 grams, enamels intact, extremely fine.
