Germany, Kriegsmarine. A High Seas Fleet Badge, Variation II, by Richard Simm & Söhne Hold 49 mm (w) x 36(Flottenkriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a frontal depiction of a Kriegsmarine battleship cutting through waves and executed in exceptional detail, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a crimped base, maker marked
