The exterior of the cap is constructed of white cotton, featuring a traditional high peak crown with tightly seated and even green piping on the top and bottom edges of the cap band. The cap band itself is constructed of dark brown wool. On the front of the cap is a metal tri colour cockade with a traditional silvered aluminum police eagle attached directly beneath. The visor is crafted of black faux leather
