Germany, Third Reich. A Gold Grade Equestrian Badge By L. Christian Lauer Hold engraved "P(Pferdesport Leistungsabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilt bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath joined at the bottom with a horseshoe inscribed with a raised R, with a central mounted horse, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked L. CHRISTIAN LAUER, NRNBERG, measuring 42. 08 mm (w) x 52. 02 mm (h), weighing 16. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
