Instituted May 18, 1900, by Ferdinand I. Type 1. Multi piece construction in bronze gilt, cross in red enamel with Imperial crown. The centre of the cross bearing the royal monogram of its founder, Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, is surrounded by a ring in green enamel by the inscription, . Reverse shows crowned lion in gold surrounded by a ring in green enamel and the inscription, 2 1891. Triangular ribbon, extremely fine condition. Footnote: The Order
