A well preserved Prussian Guard Regiment Pickelhaube (spiked helmet) for Officer ranks, constructed of a boiled and blackened leather shell. The crown is topped by a cruciform gilded brass plate, fixed in place with four domed rivets, which accommodates a removable spike.
