Plaice (SS-390) was a Balao-class submarine and was laid down by the Portsmouth Navy Yard
Repulse on February 15
and two Collar Tabs (bronze and bronze gilt respectively
France, Ii Empire. An Expedition To Mexico Medal 1862-1863 Hold Hungarian WWI Commemorative medal(Mdaille commmorative de l'expdition du Mexique). Instituted in 1863. In silver, engraver marked "BARRE" on the obverse, hallmarked with an eagle's head on the reverse, measuring 30. 7 mm in diameter, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Expedition to Mexico Commemorative Medal was instituted on August 29, 1863 and awarded for service in the Mexican Expedition of 1862 1863.
