Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal, Galipoli Star, C.1915 GTRexclude the horse of Westphalia(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. In fine zinc with red patination, Turkish made, ball finials on the tips of the star points, measuring 56. 2 mm (w) x 54. 5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, replacement ribbon fed through the pinback, obverse with spotting on the exposed zinc, scattered chipping in the red patination throughout, surface wear evident on the reverse, very fine. Footnote: The Gallipolli Star was a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman
