Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the Algoma and Manitoulin areas of Ontario, with mobilization headquarters at Sault Ste. Marie under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed on August 9, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel T. P. T. Rowland with a strength of 32 officers and 935 other ranks. Upon arrival
