The first certificate states that Postanwrter (Postal Service Constabulary) Karl Grotz from Schwarzenbach am Wald (northern Bavaria) is being awarded the Hindenburg Cross. It was awarded in Naila on March 30th, 1935, and is signed by a worker in the district department (possibly Hofmann),
