Russia, Imperial. An Order of St. George, IV Class, French Manufacture, c.1920 Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic in recognition of his outstanding( 4 ). Instituted 26 November 1769 by Catherine II (the Great). In silver gilt and enamels, a white armed cross pattee, the obverse medallion featuring a hand painted scene of St. George slaying a dragon, the reverse medallion bears a central monogram, measures 40. 5 mm (w) x 46. 2 mm (h), marked with swan punch denoting silver manufacture and importation from countries without a trading contract to France since 1893, worn on replacement ribbon,
