Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward facing profile of Duke Ernst I, the reverse with an inscription of ERNST HERZOG VON SACHSEN ALTENBURG and a date of 3. AUGUST 1903, unmarked, measuring 32. 62 mm in diameter, weighing 15. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
