Constructed of zink, consisting of a shield overlaid by a propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, representing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger, respectively topped by an inscription of NARVIK and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, affixed to a patch field grey wool with a magnetic metal backplate, with all four reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, the shield measuring 41. 55 mm (w) x 90. 97 mm
